Microsoft updates the English exam on 20 October 2026 to four skill areas: understand generative AI fundamentals (25-30%), manage prompts and chats by using Microsoft 365 Copilot (20-25%), manage business content and collaboration by using Microsoft 365 Copilot (20-25%), and a new area, drive business outcomes by using agents (20-25%), which covers prebuilt agents and Microsoft Copilot Cowork. The objective on creating and managing your own agents is removed, although you still need to judge when to use a prebuilt agent and when to create a custom one. Localised versions usually change about eight weeks after the English version.
